The 2022 FABRICAST™ collection features diverse groupings centering on sustainability, performance, and inspiration.
The sustainability grouping features synthetic fleece alternatives in cotton and wool blends. The use of natural dyes and dyes derived from cutting room waste provides beautiful coloration in knits and wovens. Virgin cotton and recycled denim combined in novelty yarns produce a soft hued heathered chambray. Natural cream colored cotton fibers intertwine with a naturally occurring brown colored cotton fiber in textural mixes of stitches. Knit to shape athleisure garments and shoe uppers are engineered for functionality and minimal to zero production waste. Ozone finishing provides an eco-friendly alternative for washdown effects in denim. Highlights from the performance group include mock leno woven shirting fabrics that are fast drying and ventilating, TOUGH COTTON™ Technology on yarns for enhanced wear and durability in 100% cotton knitwear, brushed winter cotton knits, quilted knits and double face knits enhanced with STORM COTTON™ Technology for water resistance, and 100% cotton jacquard knits for polos with water resistance and fast drying capability. 100% cotton tricot warp knit fabrics offer viable alternatives to synthetics for the activewear market. Surface design inspiration is presented in dual sided printed jacquard sinker loop terries for casual wear. Extreme texture is achieved in 100% cotton double knit and single knit constructions. Interactive color weaves are constructed in 100% cotton inspired by classic suiting and woolen tweeds. Multicolored laces are created through a sewn architecture of 100% cotton embroidery thread. Laser technology is explored in creative ways on denim to produce visual depth and texture. Jacquard designs in knit and woven fabrications feature elegant sheen and rich textures for the apparel and home markets. Also featured are lightweight voiles with surface interest via flocking and printing and novelty terries with dyed and laser effects.
