Crop Rotation

A majority (77.7%) of Southeastern cotton growers use crop rotation. The table below presents a list of factors and the proportion of growers who said that each was a moderately or very important influence in their decision about crop rotation. 

The prevalence of crop rotation suggests that most growers believe it can enhance their operations and increase profits. The effect on profits may be somewhat unpredictable, as the prices fluctuate for commodities typically used in rotations.
