The average age of survey respondents was 51.5 years, and the overwhelming majority (98.6%) were male. Respondents were an experienced group, having been farming for an average of 29 years. The average farm size was reported as 1,260 A, with an average cotton acreage of 670 A. The majority of respondents (Table 1.) had achieved a high school degree, while 44% possessed college or graduate level degrees.
