Nematode Management

The table below shows the nematode management practices that growers say they rely on moderately or very much.

Many southeastern growers rotate their cotton to non-host crops, use nematode resistant varieties and are adopting planting practices to promote earliness. Future research to identify or develop additional resistant germplasm would be of great value, especially if resulting varieties are high yielding, and tolerate reniform nematodes.
