The Cottonseed Research and Marketing Program strives to maximize cotton-grower profit from seed. We are improving seed quality and handling characteristics. The EasiFlo™ coating process is being adapted for use on planting seed as a replacement for acid delinting. Technology related to EasiFlo has lead to the development of other innovations including the Power Roll Gin Stand and COBY. The Power Roll Gin Stand, created through a cooperative effort with USDA, is now commercially available. COBY, a processed gin waste product created with USDA, is also being commercialized. Both technologies have tremendous potential for adding value and improving profitability of cotton production.
