A member of the Cotton Incorporated Engineered Fiber Selection^® Cotton Fiber Management System, QRNet32 is a file format translator program designed to support ANSI X12 standards.

Cotton mills, merchants, and gins use QRNet32, along with a value-added network (VAN)-- EDI mail box--such as CI~EDI^SM Service, to translate EDI and ASCII files containing cotton data into an easy-to-use editor.

QRNet32 can import both electronic data interchange (EDI) and ASCII file types; cotton data in QRNet32 may be exported as EDI or ASCII files as well. If you are a MILLNet user, cotton data can be passed directly between QRNet32 and MILLNet. Cumbersome tasks such as entering lengthy translation tables, common to many generic EDI translators, are eliminated with QRNet32.

An EDI file may contain transactions destined for several customers. Based on information provided by QRNet32 in the EDI file, the third party VAN (CI~EDI^SM Service) routes each transaction appropriately. QRNet32 users can check their EDI mailboxes on demand or configure an automatic access time. This flexibility allows for more economical evening transmissions, freeing the computer for daytime work.

Due to the high cost of custom programming, leasing QRNet32 may actually prove to be more economical than developing an on-site EDI translation program. Many multipurpose generic EDI translators are designed to handle a wide variety of business documents.

In contrast, QRNet32 was specifically engineered by cotton professionals for handling cotton transactions.

Integrated as part of the MILLNet program used by mills, QRNet32 is also available as a stand-alone program for merchants. The stand-alone version of QRNet32 includes all ANSI-compliant file translator utilities, full written documentation, on-site installation and dedicated technical support by qualified Cotton Incorporated staff.
