What: A series of one-day seminars designed to help cotton producers
increase their understanding of what Options on Cotton Futures Contracts are
and what they can do to help increase their returns from cotton. Sessions will
cover the basics of cotton futures and options, specific hedging strategies
involving the use of cotton options contracts, producer perspective, and a market
outlook.
When and Where: The seminars will be held in the following areas:
Memphis, TN – February 13, 2008
Coalinga, CA – March 26, 2008
Lubbock, TX – April 2, 2008
Who: Primary instructors for the seminars will be Dr. Carl Anderson, Mr. Mike
Stevens, Dr. O.A. Cleveland, Dr. John Robinson, and Ms. Kelli Merritt, with
additional speakers at each event.
Cost: Registration for each seminar is free, and includes all presentation
materials as well as lunch during the seminar.
